Vinyl test presses for WATERCOLORS IN THE SKY are here!
Exciting news: the vinyl test presses of my debut album WATERCOLORS IN THE SKY arrived this past weekend! I’ve been listening to them carefully and so far everything sounds fantastic! I don’t know what it is, but there is just a magical quality to the vinyl medium that truly makes the audio experience better than digital streaming.
The manufacturer is HELLBENDER VINYL (in Pittsburgh, PA) and not only are they known for making high quality records, they are simply awesome collaborators! In addition to the test presses, they also sent me an unofficial black vinyl copy as a sample, with the actual label on the record and packaged in the actual jacket, sleeve and resealable poly bag. I have to say that the quality is just top notch and all the effort I had put into the artwork was totally worth it - it just looks fantastic!
Now, once I give the green light to HELLBENDER VINYL, they will schedule and proceed with doing the pressings later this month. But these aren’t going to be basic black vinyl records - there are going to be three different colored variants: transparent blue vinyl, transparent emerald green vinyl, and a splatter-color design vinyl based on the color palette of the cover art. These records are going to be amazing!
